About The Teacher
Mary
was born and raised in Katoomba.
Her first piano teacher was Jose Radeski.
Mary studied music at Sydney University and later at Covenant College in the USA where her piano teacher was David Halvorsen. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Music.
Mary also studied piano at Brisbane Conservatorium with Kevin Power, and obtained her A.Mus.A. Diploma. She received her accreditation as a piano teacher from Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is a member of the Music Teachers' Association.
Mary teaches theory, musicianship and music craft and has been teaching piano in Katoomba since 1989. She has also been Music Director of Blackheath Baptist Church since that time. She is the mother of three children who are now grown-up and living away from home.
